Covid 19 Virus Update

As the government updates, we will continue to update.

This is not the time for governmental, patriotic, and/or theological rhetoric, but of trusting the Heavenly Father and praying for safety and healing and the end of this crisis.

David wrote in Psalm 91, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. . . He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.'"

Another Psalm says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear…” Psalm 46:1

The leaders of North Park Church of Christ have decided to suspend all activities except for three: the Sunday morning 10:20 worship celebration which will be a somewhat briefer service than normal, the Wednesday morning pantry service, and our call-in help service. The highest health precautions will be followed and recommended for each. This will be in force until further notice.

For those who are detail-oriented, this means the following activities have been suspended: Sunday School at 9:00am, all Sunday night and all Wednesday night programming and any other church planned activities.

Deciding to attend or not to attend church worship should never be a question of fear, fear of the government or fear of illness, but in this crisis safety not fear is encouraged.

If you are in a high risk group then watching on facebook or requesting a video by email might be best. Knowing in advance there are some who need to make this decision we ask you not to forget that hopefully sooner than later we will get back to regularly scheduled programming; so in the meantime mail in offerings, save them up to give when you return, for giving is also part of our worship as a church.
